Choirs' Sunday

Choirs’ Sunday is the day in the year in which we celebrate the role of the choirs in the church with special music in the services, and a shared lunch together with any members of the congregation who like to join us.

This year Choirs' Sunday falls on 15th November. Boys and men are singing at 9.15, Girls at 11, and Boys, Men and Ladies at 6.30.

The lunch will be from 12noon in the OBH. We hope that as many choir members and their families as possible will join us. The boys and girls will be giving a short entertainment during the meal. The members of the congregation enjoy hearing the choir sing in a slightly more informal setting, and young families who come to the lunch may be inspired to encourage their children to join, which is obviously vital for the future of the choirs.

This year we are planning to run a Children’s Tombola, and we would be grateful for any donations of new or as new toys, stationery, sweets, etc to use as prizes. Bring them to any choir practice! The younger children particularly seem to love tombolas. We are also intending to have a quiz, suitable for all ages, to be placed on the tables for people to fill in as they eat/chat. For the members of the Men’s and Ladies’ Choir, there will be a bar!
